Personal Note from AIG:
This is a little document I whip out when things have turned sour with a tenant and I’m just ready for them to leave. Ready enough to pay them to make it happen. And truthfully, it’s usually my first choice, even before eviction. It’ll typically cost me less and happen much faster than an eviction.
Yes, the injustice of PAYING someone to leave – someone who owes YOU money and isn’t paying – that can be hard to deal with emotionally. I get it, trust me. But if you remove your emotions from the equation you’ll see that it’s often just the right BUSINESS decision to make.
